Home-Delivered Meals Requirements

  • Age 60 or above

  • Reside in Walker County

  • Must be homebound (difficult for applicant to leave home without assistance)

  • Unable to drive

  • Physical or mental impairments that compromise meal preparation

  • Must be present and able to accept the meal at delivery

Client must NOT:

  • Be living with a caregiver or family member (other than spouse)

  • Have a provider/caregiver authorized to prepare meals for them

Congregate Meals

 

  • Age 60 or above
  • Be mentally and physically able to participate without assistance
  • If assistance is needed, a caregiver must remain with applicant at all times
